Above all, remember, everyone starts somewhere. If you truly feel uncomfortable working out in the gym or in other public places check out some fitness dvds, or instant stream on Netflix and use my anywhere workout. We could go on and on with excuses not to workout…but what’s the point? Everyone has an excuse not to, do you really want to be like everyone else?


Don’t compare yourself to those in ‘better shape’--they’ve undoubtedly worked hard to get there (or haven’t eaten in week). Put in the time and before you know it, you’ll be there too.

In the meantime, don’t focus on your ‘fat’ areas and dress to flatter your figure. If you’re big on bottom avoid tiny shorts or ¾ sweatpants. Straight-legged form fitting sweats are a better option. You could also wear spandex underneath, as the hold the jiggly bits in.

For those with a thick middle, wear loose tee shirts paired with form fitting pants made from breathable lyrca. For women with hefty chests, think support, invest in a quality sports bra. Even double up!



The truth is, incorporating a workout into your life is up to you. So just do it--you’ll be glad you did.
